I enjoy seeing the growth of the kids as athletes and young adults. I enjoy cooking, fishing, and reading. My athletic career was most influenced by Hollis Conway.

LeVar Brown HOrizontal Jumps extraordinaire

Paetow High School Assistant Track Coach - Horizontal Jumps (8 Years)

LeVar Brown is in his fourth year as the horizontal jumps coach at Paetow High School in Katy, Texas and is in his ninth year of coaching both Track and Basketball. He has been able to spend time in many areas around the state; coaching at Odessa Permian, Conroe, Cuero, Jasper, and Katy Paetow. He has been able to coach jumpers to at least the regional meet at every school he has coached at as well as former athletes becoming state runner-ups/champion the following years after leaving schools (Permian/Cuero).

In 2019 LeVar coached two athletes to the state meet who had never participated in the events prior to that season; one in long jump (boy) and one in triple jump (girl). The long jumper went on to win the Texas UIL State Championship in 2019 and was number one in the country (LJ) and tied for number two in the country (TJ) in 2020. The Triple Jumper was top five in the country during the 2020 season.  LeVar is from San Angelo, Texas and is a graduate from San Angelo Central High School where he played basketball, ran track, and still currently holds the school triple jump record. Fun Facts

My favorite part of coaching is seeing the athlete grow, overcome adversity, and achieve feats they may have once thought were not possible. My favorite Playlist song is "Bring the Rukus" by the Wu-Tang Clan. I laugh so hard I cry when Coach Kenneth Decuir talks about his favorite movie. My biggest influence as a coach is my high school track coach.

Tompkins High SchoolThrows Coach/ 10 years

My name is Corey L. Adams and out of the 20 plus years that I've been coaching, I have had the pleasure to coach the throwers for 10 of those years. I started with the throwers during the 2007-08 school year. I believe there are so many ways to skin a cat but, if you focus on the needs of the individual they will grow and learn better from that.
