Retired from Booker T in 2000, but continued to volunteer his services to area schools for the past 11 years. He worked to develop his grandson, Christian Hartfield, who is now in his first year at Langston University playing tight end.
Mike Mosley graduated from Coahoma High School in Coahoma, Texas 1966. He competed in football, basketball and track and field. Mike's head coach the first two years was Jim Spann and the last two was Spike Dykes. He won state in the 880 in 1965 and 1966 in Class A. Mike won a full scholarship to run for the University of Texas from 1966 through 1970. He ran both cross country and track at the University. Upon graduation, Mike joined the United States Marine Corps and served on active duty until 1975 including service in Vietnam. He continued to serve in the reserves until 1999 when Mike retired as a Lt. Col. Before coming back to Texas he married his wife Debbie. Mike went to graduate school at Southwest Texas State University at San Marcos and earned his Masters of Education in 1977. Mike served as a graduate assistant coach while SWTSU in football, cross country and track and field.
Mike took my first head coaching position at Fort Stockton in 1977 working for John Blocker. That year his mile relay won the Class AAA mile relay. Mike went to Killeen High School the next year and replaced Johnny Carnes who had gone to the new high school in Killeen, Ellison High School. Mike won two AAAA state championships in 1979 and again in 1980. He was the Texas Sportswriters coach of the year in track in 1979.
While at Killeen Mike had the following state champions:

After six years at Killeen, Mike took the head track job at LaPorte High School in 1984. He stayed in that position for 25 years whereupon he retired in 2009. While at LaPorte, Mike coached the following state champions: John Herpin- 110 hurdles (two consecutive years) Robert Gonzales- 300 hurdles Arlon Clark- triple jump Howard Maddox- long jump Kerron Clement- 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles (two consecutive years) Kerron went on to set a world record in the indoor 400 and was a silver and gold medalist in the 2008 Olympics and presently runs professionally for Nike. Mike spent a total of 32 years as a head track and cross country coach and mathematics teacher and enjoyed every minute of it.

Reggie's goal in coaching CC/Track was to establish a program that young men and women wanted to be a part of. As a result, Reggie has been afforded the privilege of being associated with many talented, dedicated and disciplined athletes. Reggie wishes to thank them and must acknowledge the many coaches that willingly shared their expertise and friendship with him over the years. They truly helped Reggie to be a better coach.
Last and certainly not least, Reggie thanks his wife Ruth for her unfailing support.
Since Retirement, Reggie continue to be associated with Santa Fe ISD in many years. Reggie also been licensed into the gospel ministry and serve on staff at a local church in Santa Fe
University of Houston Track Alumni, Two time National coach of the year. Head Track and Cross Country coach at the Woodlands High School his teams and runners have won 16 State Championships and multiple individual State Titles in his 33 year tenure. He is USA Track and Field level III certified and has been selected as head coach of two US National teams. He is also a Motivational speaker, speaking in clinics across the Nation. Before joining Adidas, Coach Green was the meet director of the Nike South and the NXN South Cross Country meets which are the only Nike sponsored meets in the South. He has organized Nike sponsored speed camps for the past 20 years.

He was born a fourth generation native Houstonian. The oldest son of Harry Davis and Dorothy Boettcher Duckett. Fred taught at St John's School, worked for American General Insurance as an agent and for the last 16 years, taught history at Awty International School.
In his spare time, he announced sporting events all over the City, State and Nation. His voice rang out, loud and clear, at Rice for football, basketball and track & field events. He could be heard at the microphone in the Astrodome for the Astros, Oilers and the Blue Bonnet Bowl. He also announced for Uof H, UT, TSU, HBU, TAMU, the Houston Marathon and many other venues. J. Fred was known as one of the foremost authorities on track & field in the area. He officiated, announced and coached. Because of his love and vast knowledge of track & field he worked with the U.S. Olympic Committee at three Olympic games, 1976, 1984, and 1988. He also served on the board of the U.S. Olympic Festival when it was here in Houston.
Fred received his B.A. in history from Rice Institute in 1955 and his master's from The University of Texas at Austin. After college, he spent a year in The Netherlands as a Fullbright Scholar. Upon his return from abroad he led many high school students on several summer tours through Europe with the Experiment in International Living program. Fred and his wife Baudine, were also Host Family to many foreign Graduate Students at Rice University over the years. He was an active member of the Rice University "R" Association and The Holland Club of Houston. Fred leaves behind a legacy which can be seen the world over in the lives and careers of the students and people he taught, coached, and mentored.
